Book Updates:
It’s been a while since I have given an update about my writing on my website, and I’m hoping to fix that this year.
To start, I am currently working on a new novel:
Title: A Whisper in the Night
Genre: Paranormal Historical Romance
Short Synopsis: A woman survives the Nazi concentration camps in Germany during WWII because of the ghost of her late husband who perished in the concentration camps.
By the time you’ll be reading this, I will be about 15-20k words into my novel and working on chapter 6 of my first draft.
I’m trying to publish A Whisper in the Night in six months. It’s just been a personal goal of mine to write a book start to finish in six months. It’s not an actual deadline or anything.
I’ll be writing and posting updates throughout the process of publishing this book.
Author Updates:
In general, I’m planning on being more active on my website. I would like to stay up to date on my books and updates instead of being late on them. Make sure to subscribe to my website to receive updates on my books and writing! The subscribe button is in the bottom right corner of my website if you are using a computer or phone to look at it. My website updates will be like a newsletter. You’ll receive them to your email, and you will find the newest content and updates in them.
I might revisit my first three books and update them. I want to add more to them and do more to format them better. I got a new software for typesetting called Atticus that has a little more design elements for books! I’m excited to use it!
I also plan to put out more content on my social media platforms, so be sure to follow me on them!
Reading Updates:
I’ve been doing a lot of reading lately, and I’m proud of how much I’ve been reading! My goal for this year is to read 35 books and 15,000 pages and listen to 40 hours of audiobooks.
So far, I have easily met my audiobook goal, as I listen to audiobooks in my car while I drive. I’m almost halfway done with my book goal with 17 books read so far, and I’m almost 40% complete with my pages goal with 5,753 pages read.
I use StoryGraph to track my reading goals. You can add me on there:
Life Updates:
A lot, and I mean A LOT, has happened in my life, and it feels like mine has been flipped upside down.
In August of 2025, I was bit by a dog. Of course it had to get infected… really bad. I was in and out of the ER for weeks. Eventually, the infection went away, but the pain didn’t. It was a persistent pain that felt very different than the infection pain. It was so much worse.
I was eventually diagnosed with CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) after going through what felt like a million and one different tests.
Right now, I have just been focusing on my books and my animals. I’ve added chickens to my little zoo, so now, I have three horses, three goats, three chickens, two outdoor cats, and two dogs.
